About Dr Asnea Tariq
With a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Edinburgh, I focus on exploring the intricate interplay between early maladaptive schemas, depression, and anxiety among young people. Currently, I’m working as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Reading. I’m involved in various projects like Emotional Vulnerability in Adolescence (EVA), Project Soothe, and the Resilience Rucksack. My research expertise centres on adolescents’ mental health, self-compassion, mindfulness, and psychological distress. My goal is to understand better and enhance the mental health and well-being of young people.
